With the completion of more and more genome projects, a large number of genomic sequences are available in public databases. The availability of a large number of genomic sequences for researchers creates a need to find graphic tools to study genomes in a perceivable form. The Z curve is one of such tools for visualizing genomes. The Z curve is a robust, independent, less redundant, and has clear biological interpretation which can be regarded as a useful visualization technique for DNA sequence analysis of any length. The application of the Z curve database on comparative genomics, gene prediction, computation of G+C content with a windowless technique are presented in details in this paper. All the simulation results are applied on the genome of Bacillus Cereus bacterium and compared with each other. In this paper, we have also developed a useful user friendly package to analyze DNA sequences with both DSP and non-DSP techniques.
