چکیده :

In this paper, final die and preform part shape for forging a gas turbine compressor blade has been optimized using a Pareto based multi-objective genetic algorithm. The finite element analysis and optimization technique have been integrated to solve the optimal process. In the proposed optimal model, the preform shape and attitude of die parting-line were optimized as design variables in order to make the desired objective functions such as minimum flash volume, successful die filling and minimized strain non-uniformity. The steps of the optimization procedure include the use of a response surface method for coarse fitting and finite element analysis program for exact solving. Results show that this approach is more effective than the conventional finite element analysis method and the ‘trial and error’ procedure.
