چکیده :

Abstract: Background: Despite the benefits of exercise many disabled people in different countries do not get enough physical activity. With regards that pattern of behavior change is known as a perfect model in the field of physical education and perceived benefits of exercise is one of the constituent of this model .The aim of this study is to examine the relationship of perceived benefits to stages of exercise behavior change In the disabled in Zanjan city. This research is a descriptive correlational study and its population included 3250 people with disabilities in this city. 343 people selected at random as a sample and questionnaires were completed by them. Research tools include questionnaires developed by the researchers about perceived benefits of physical activity and questionnaires of exercise behavior change. Data obtained from 330 questionnaires returned by using the Spearman correlation coefficient and one-way ANOV and they were analyzed statistically (P =0/05). The results showed that there is significant relationship between the perceived benefits and stages of exercise behavior change. Also there is significant relationship between personal, psychological and socio-cultural components of perceived benefits and stages of exercise behavior change. Also the results of one-way ANOVA showed that the perceived benefits of exercise are different significantly during stages of exercise behavior changes. Overall results showed that there is significant relationship between the perceived benefits of physical activity and stage of exercise behavior change in the disabled.
