چکیده :

The purpose of this study was to investigate the relationship between motor- physical fitness and Mental Well-being of sixth grade school students. This study is of descriptive co-relational type and the number of population was 2044 persons. Statistical population consists of all the sixth grade male students in elementary schools of District 4-Ahvaz. According to the formula, 150 of them randomly have been chosen through multi-stage sampling. Measurement instruments of this study consist of Riff’s Psychological Well-being questionnaire and physical fitness tests of individual. To test the hypothesis, the Spearman correlation test and stepwise regression were used. The results showed that all components of psychological well-being of students is higher than average, also significant positive relationship obtained between motor- physical fitness and Mental Well-being (p<0.05). Stepwise regression analysis showed that flexibility of physical fitness factors, strength and balance of motor fitness factors, have the ability to predict psychological well-being of boy students (p<0.05). To raise the student's psychological well-being, proposed to work on flexibility, strength and balance factors.
