Nowadays investigations on environmental potential are discussed as one of the basic issues for economic planning, social, urban and rural projects. Attempts to keep environmental balance, successful administrative and construction projects are the main reasons of the recognition of environmental potential and through evaluating properly the experiences gained from previous generations, and according to the dominant urbanism contemplation, proper use of critical resources and existing facilities is necessary. With the aim to create balance in the urban environment and achieve comprehensive and stable development, the organization of city should be dealt with in a proper structured format. The basic purpose of the research is to investigate the status of existing potential in activities of Galugah city in order to provide appropriate solutions to achieve sustainable development. The research methodology is in a survey, descriptive – analytical form that the data collection was designed through questionnaire in the form of a Likert as documentation and field and was analyzed through the (SPSS) software. The general result of this study indicate that the economic, social, cultural, ecological activities and whatever is going on in town, does not guide us towards sustainable development and Galugah city cannot survive only relying on itself and Sustainability and persisting development of the city is dependent on the stability of its surrounding spheres of influence.
