Comparative Study of Mankind’s Hierarchy of Needs according to the Defined System by Abraham Maslow and Imam Ali (AS)

Mankind’s needs motivate him remarkably. Our behaviors and actions lead us to approach our objectives. Maslow’s Psychology doctrines are humanism and he indicates that our physiologic, safety, social, egotism and self-realization needs are the most important motivational resources. Also he refers to our cognitive needs (knowledge and conception) and artistic cognition. Our religious resources have focused on many totally valuable scientific discourses in this regard among them; Nahj is a valuable one; study, conception and comparison of Nahj-Ali’s singular precious gemlike sermons with viewpoints of Maslow we conclude that Hazrat Ali (AS) has inclusive viewpoints on mankind’s needs ; even he has leaded us to know how we may satisfy our needs; his divine outlook on virtuosity (Self-actualization) mankind is the most remarkable one ; also, he indicates that if we verily become pious; then we are respectful; therefore it is recommended that study of enriched Islamic references and resources such as Nahj is helpful for us to know more basic principles of psychology to introduce a perfect Islamic psychology to the world.
