microwave conditions for the mild and efficient protection of carbonyl compounds as their dithiolane, dithiane and oxathiolane
derivatives with 1,2-ethanedithiol, 1,3-propanedithiol and 2-mercaptoethanol, respectively in good to excellent yields. This
