چکیده :

Seed priming technique has been known as a challenge to improve germination and seedling emergence under different environmental stresses. In order to study the effect of priming with potassium nitrate and gibberellin on Glycine max and, Brassica napus an experimental design was factorial with complete randomized design as base design with 4 replications. The first factor was 5 priming treatment by potassium nitrate (control, 1, 2, 3 and 4 mg/l), the secondary factor was 5 priming treatment by gibberellin (0, 100, 150, 200 and 250 ppm). Results showed that priming by potassium nitrate and gibberellin on germination indexes were significant. Because toxici-ty effects, in higher concentrations of treatments, measured characters were decreased. Results showed that for soybean treatment of 2 mg/l potassium nitrate and 250 ppm gibberellin and for canola 3 mg/l potassium nitrate and 250 ppm gibberellin were the best. Therefore, the response of seeds in contrast of various concentrations is different and must select the best treatment by species of plantity.
