Alesander Pushkin was interested in realistic expression of thoughts
and feeling and strangely tended to psychological realism. The 1830s was
characterized with outbreak of social unrest and uproar in Russia, which was
coincident with revolutionary movement in The West. Long historical and
psychological novels such as "The Captain's daughter" was wrote by
Alesander Pushkin at the same period. The story happened in Katrina's
era.The most dominant issue of the time - the dictatorship and feudalism
system that was the headache of intellectuals of the elite class- is the theme
of the story. The present study is an attempt to picture a comprehensive and
complete image of the role played by the people and more importantly their
hero "The Captain's daughter".
