Predicting early maladaptive schemas by Young parenting styles

The present study has been done due to predicting Young early maladaptive schemas through parenting styles (root development). To this end, 357 undergraduate students of Urmia Islamic Azad University were selected by random cluster sampling and two Young short form inventory of Parenting Styles (YPI) and short form inventory of Schema (SQ-SF) were filled by subjects. The studied variables were evaluated according to Jeffrey Young theory. Analysis of results; using regression analysis showed that parenting styles (root development) are significant predictor for early maladaptive schemas.
