By means of idea of three-wave method, we obtain some analytic solutions for the (2+1)-
dimensional potential Kadomtsev-Petviashvili equation in its bilinear form. By comparison of this method
and another analytic methods, like HAM, Exp-function method, HTA and EHTA, we can see that the new
idea is very easy and straightforward. Also, we obtain the Wronskian form of the equation.
