چکیده :

Nowadays, the phenomenon of Loafing has involved many organizations. Social Loafing led employers to do individual works and less effort to do their job. This study was conducted to investigate the effect of emotional intelligence on Social Loafing of staff in organizations and government agencies of Rustam city, in which the concept of emotional intelligence consists of five dimensions of self-awareness, self-control, motivation, empathy and social skills was assessed by questionnaire. Questionnaires were distributed among 110 samples from the population of all employees of organizations and government agencies of Rustam city. The research method was descriptive and correlational. To answer the questions and check the hypotheses by Smart-PLS Software, the structural equations method and path analysis with partial least squares (PLS) method was used. The results showed that among all dimensions of emotional intelligence, four dimensions (selfawareness, self-control, motivation and social skills) have a significant negative impact on Social Loafing, and only the dimension (empathy) has no significant effect on Social Loafing of staff. Therefore, with respect to all aspects of emotional intelligence and strengthen them in staff except empathy we can increase the engaging in work and decrease Social Loafing in staff. The results also indicate that among the dimensions of emotional intelligence the social skills have the greatest impact on reducing Social Loafing in employees.
