چکیده :

Abstract : As a severe weave factor, war has extreme economic, social, cultural and personal comsequences that influence relationships among society members over generations. In this case, family members of combatants have members of combatants have special circumstances because they not adapt themselves with family, but they are at greater risk in community. The purpose of the present research is to investigate the relationship between marital satisfaction and mental health among wives of wives of veteran and normal men. The research method is descriptive and comparative. Its sample included 184 spouses of veterans and normal men with age range between 35-65 years old who they had married for more than five years. Sampling was done using randomly accessible method. The following questionnaires were used to measure data : Standard Questionnaire of Demographic and Marital Satisfaction (Enrich, 1989)and Standard General Health Questionnaire (GHQ) containing 28 questions (Goldberg & Hiller , 1979). After validation, it was executed on 30 people in summer of 2013. The SPSS software was used to analyze data. The research results showed a significant difference in marital satisfactions among wives of veteran and non-veteran people. There is a significant relationship between marital satisfactions with mental health of wives of veteran people. There is a relationship between marital satisfactions with employment situation of wives of veteran people. There is also a relationship between marital satisfactions with their age.
