Dendrimer-PWAn nanocatalyst was synthesized and used as a novel, efficient catalyst for acetylation of
alcohols and phenols with acetic anhydride in high yields (86-96 %) under solvent-free conditions. Also effect of
solvent and amount of the nanocatalyst were studied. Variety of alcohol and phenol were served toward acetylation in
the presence of the catalyst. The catalyst was regenerated for eight cycles of reaction without any significant loss in its
activity.
