The condition of addiction to internet among the 14 years student at the Student Football Association of Piranshahr

Introduction: For a group of Internet users that behave like the people who are trapped, the world of chat rooms and internet games can easily take the place of people, friends, education, work, and sleep, so that some Iranian users spend their times from 10 pm to 4 am on the internet, and they spend 40 to 50 hours a week on the Internet, and they are so far away from the real world in which they live. So, the Internet is like a solution for those who suffer from mental problems, but this leads to a defective cycle that the person faces more emotionally and psychologically problems each day (Gohari, 2004). In his research, we try to present a description study about the addiction to the internet among the under 14-year old Students at the Student Football Association of Piranshahr.. Methodology: This research was conducted as a descriptive research in the summer of 2017. The statistical population of this study was football students (69 boys) at the Student Football Association of Piranshahr who were under 14 years old. The instrument for this assessing was the validity and reliability 0.95 and 0.9 questionnaires (IAT yang 1998). Results: The results of this study indicate that 22% of the Internet users are addicted to it, 29% of them are at risk of Internet addiction, and 51% of them are non-addicted (normal). In other words, based on the results, athletes spend less time on using the Internet compared to the persons who do not exercise. Discussion: The present study showed that the level of addiction to the Internet among football students is low and it can be said that by the physical activity and playing football regularly the tendency towards internet and virtual world are reduced. The results of this study are not consistent with Johnson's research (2003) (Wizshfer, 2005), but is consistent with the research of Dodman et al. (1395).
