چکیده :

Schiff base complex of palladium ion functionalized magnetite@silica nanoparticles were found to be active catalysts in the palladium-catalyzed Suzuki–Miyaura coupling reactions of of different aryl iodides and bromides with phenylboronic acid in the absence of phosphorous ligands or any organic co-solvents or phase transfer additives. Under appropriate conditions, all of these reactions give the desired products in moderate to excellent yields. This method shows notable advantages such as excellent yields, short reaction times, cleaner reaction profiles, heterogeneous nature of the catalyst, simplicity of operation, and the excellent catalytic performance in a water medium and the easy preparation. Also, the catalyst can be separated from the reaction mixture by applying a permanent magnet externally and can be reused for five successive run. Also, the analysis of the reaction mixture by the ICP technique also showed the leaching of the catalyst was negligible.
