چکیده :

Background: Triglyceride (TG) and Cholesterol (Chol) are the important indicators that determine the health or blood fat. Normal range of TG is 50-160 mg/dl and the ranges of Chol is 80-200 mg/dl. Higher than of these ranges is cause high blood fat. The aim of this study was determining of the relation between TG, Chol levels and gender in Bushehrian´ s young adults. Methods: 2cc of blood samples from 300 young health people in tubes without anticoagulant were collected (21.98±1.80mg/dl). TG and Chol was performed on all of them. Review of this relation was done in 300 samples. Results: The mean of TG in male was 151.25 ± 45.90 mg/dl and in female was 148.51±34.59 mg/dl. The mean of Chol in male and female was 199.04 ± 23.70 and 185.41±27.65 respectively. There was no significant difference between TG levels and gender(p>0.05). But There was a significant difference between Chol levels and gender(p<0.05). Chol levels was higher in male. Conclusion: The findings of this study showed that the incidence of high levels of chol in male was more than in female.
