Development of smart urban transportation system with the aim of security enhancement and reduction of car accidents and traffic issues and detection using VBB (Vehicle Black Box)

The huge urban transportation system is occupied by different vehicles and ignoring then may lead to chaos in urban transportation, car accidents, mental problems, citizens unsafety, increase of pollutants and air pollution, physical and financial losses, time and cost waste for settlement of fines including insurance, judicial proceedings as well as social problems resulted from the death and or physical handicap of family members and similar issues. Nowadays, with increased technological advancement many of above problems and also urban transportation issues could be overcome using modern scientific solutions and inventions with some creativity. One of these solutions is application of vehicle’s black box that is able to record all and any urban and road transportation situation and position. This smart system investigates urban and road transportation situation in terms of: 1) human factors including the driver (driver’s physical and mental health and consciousness) during using vehicle and observance of related laws and regulations; 2) physical or road- related factors including atmospheric and geographical conditions, location and time; 3) vehicle-related factors including technical issues, brake system, safety, engine conditions, etc. and records all above information and analyzes and processes them via embedded sensors and finally stores all information in VBB in a constant manner, either on monthly or on yearly basis. By accessing to this information, it would be possible to investigate and get informed of the situation and causes of traffic incidents and consequently take required actions in solving urban transportation problems.
