Information technology has created significant advances in global communication technologies,particularly the internet that makes the accessibility distributed networking systems and access electronic full text,information posed particular challenges to the library community.also,it is playing a very important role in setting the existance and evolution of virtual libraries.it's starting point of the information industry to reconsider the library.nowadays the new emerging digital technologies are transforming the handling of information and as a result are changing the nature of human activities and organizations. The poiwerful combiniation of digital publications,specialist and generalist databases,sophisticated search systems and portals enables scholars and students to rapidly examine a great variety of the literature in their own disciplines and those new to them access is available globally24 hours a day with out geographical limitations There is no doubt that the availability of technology and digital media and the creation of virtual and digital libraries are going to have a perfound effect on the library science globally and it leaves us with an interesting prospect and challenge.the virtual hospital serves primiraly as a digital library for medical and health sciences but also serves as a serves as a useable tool for continuing education for academic and non-academic population.
