Porter considers the competitiveness as the result of engagement and interaction of four main factors: 1- Factor conditions; 2- Demand conditions; 3- Related and supporting industries; 4- Firm strategy, structure and rivalry. According to Porter, these four factors have a reciprocal influence on each other and changes can be effective in terms of other factors for each of them. Therefore, we introduced the basic concepts of competitiveness in this paper and proposed Porter's diamond model that is one of the most important theories in competitiveness. Hope this study will be a plan for future researches in competitiveness field and understanding its conceptual models
