Spatial planning or land use management in Iran environment

Spatial planning is used by the public sector to influence the distribution of human activities in spaces with different scales. That making sure of landresources utilization has been planned and is perfect and there is in a systematic organization with resolving current and future needs are the main objectives of spatial planning.in this research, development process of spatial planning system has been studied and at last spatial planning system of some countries is given as an example. Spatial planning system in Iran is divided into two periods: before and after the Islamic Revolution. The purpose of this paper is to study the evolution of spatial planning system in Iran. The research method is descriptive in this paper. For collecting information has been used of library and documents method (articles, theses, magazines…) .spatial planning in Iran has had many ups and downs.The results of this study are as follows: spatial study of each regions of Iran based on the study of existing potential and manpower potential, enough resources and funds, etc… is the only strategy that is based on basic attention to environmental facilities of that area and its retention and protection makes sustainable development.
