Introduction: family environment, school and mass media to provide learning opportunities to adapt to the envi-ronment have an important responsibility and role. Objective: The aim of this study is comparing male high school students with different learning styles in terms of social adjustment and academic performance in the Shadegan city.Methods: The method used in this study, is casual-comparative. The sample consisted of 320 students of male first-grade high school students in the city Shadegan in academic year 2010 -2011 enrolled and selected by multi-stage random sampling. To measure the variables in the research Kolb's Learning Style Inventory (LSI) and the Cali-fornia Personality Inventory (CTP) used. In this study, the average first time students as academic performance criteria was considered. To analyze the data, analysis of variance (MANOVA) and the analysis of univariate vari-ance (ANOVA) used.Results: The results showed that there is a significant difference between male high school students with different learning styles in terms of social adjustment and academic performance at the level of 0.001. The results showed that students with converge learning styles in compared with divergent learning styles of students has more social adjustment and higher academic performance.Conclusion: The students' learning style can described as one of the most important cognitive variables play an important role in social adjustment and academic performance.
