Nowadays, choosing the suitable contractor in a call for tenders is one of the most important elements affecting the implementation of the projects. This issue can even either cause or stop the implementation of the projects. Therefore, the correct classification of contractors in each tender is very important. Of course, the pre-evaluation of the contractors using the presented solutions is done to minimize the risk of implementation of the projects by unfitted contractors. In many conventional methods for ranking contractors the selection criteria are considered independently. But in practice, it has been proved that these criteria cannot be considered independently. The present study tries to attain a method for ranking the suitable contractors for a project by combining TOPSIS and AHP algorithms. Moreover, employers can use this method in decision support systems to distinguish qualified contractors.
