Ghouri areas, The ontcrops are mainly The study area is crops out in Seh- Ghalatoun and eastern part of composed of low to medium grade metamorphic rocks of mica- schist, green schist, marble, high-grade metamorphic rocks such as quartzite, Gneiss,amphibolite and eclogite.
The present study has been proformed in two stages of structural and micro-structural analysis. Structural analysis mainly concentrated in measurements of foliations, lineations, axial planes of folds and study of the shortening and lengthning of competent quartzitic layers within incompetent layers of mica- schist and amphibolite. This study indicates that there are three phases of deformation in area which , include D1, D2 and D3 . These deformations are sub- paralled to parallel with the NE-SW direction (N20º E- N60ºE). The direction of third phase of deformation (D3) is parallel with NW-SE direction micro- structural analysis of quartz c-axis of quartzite layers confirms structural analysis.
