چکیده :

The purpose of this study was to investigate the relationship between leadership styles of trainers with satisfaction wrestling in Mazandaran province. Among 233 subjects participated in this study and responded coaches' leadership style questionnaire (LSS) and athletes' satisfaction questionnaire (ASQ). In a pilot study, the coaches' leadership style questionnaire with 40 likert five-grade questions and standard satisfaction questionnaire with 14 likert seven- grade questions were consulted with ten of physical education faculty in Shomal University. In an internal study, stability of coaches' leadership style and athletes' satisfaction questionnaires were estimated r=0.894 and r=0.914 respectively. All hypotheses analyzed with Spearman correlation coefficient test in the level of p≤0.05. Research findings showed significant and positive relationship between perceived leadership behavior by athletes (training and instruction, positive feedback, social support and democratic) and athletes satisfaction, but there was no significant relationship between autocratic style and all satisfaction indicators. The findings also indicated that coaches more use training and instruction style and then use positive feedback style; social support style, democratic style and autocratic style respectively. Among dimensions of athlete's satisfaction, personal treatment satisfaction was the first and team performance satisfaction was the last priority.
