Nowadays as a result of focusing on knowledge and creating a knowledge-based society, librarians meet new practical and theoretical challenges and have to acquire new skills. Applying a knowledge-based approach this article aims to analyze the necessary skills and methods of learning them by librarians. In these days librarians need knowledge management skills (creature, combination, organization, preservation and dissemination of information),information science, desirable use of information and communication technologies, facilitate and support of electronic learning classes of organizations, expand communications and share of knowledge with other organizations besides a lifelong education which will be explained in the current article. Change of roles and appearance of modern technologies require that librarians acquire new educations. This article considers methods of librarians education both inside and outside organization. Some of the librarians education methods are as follows: Education while on duty, Workshops, Congresses, Visiting libraries and related organizations, Using internet and library website in order to share of information with other organizations, Using databases and available materials of library including electronic & printed matters.
