Relationship between Information System Success, Net Benefits, and Communication Effectiveness

Net benefits and communication effectiveness remain a key topic of concern among managers and employees worldwide. On the other hand, information system success plays an important role in communication effectiveness in today’s organizations. Communication effectiveness is essential to organization’s communication and social development. The one ingredient essential for organizations to become a development and effectiveness driven organizations is the communications between organizations’ systems. The interrelationship between information system success and communications plays a vital role in the growth and success of organizations in Iran. In this paper, it was concluded that information quality, system quality, and service quality as independent variables and net benefits with focus on communication effectiveness as the dependent variable play a vital role in Iran’s organizations. The importance of communications in relation to information system success is substantiated in many Research and Development (R&D) studies. In the current study, intention to use and user satisfaction were the mediator variables. The dimensions of communication effectiveness include: (effective listening, giving feedback, and clarifying), and also dimensions of information system success includes: (information quality, system quality, and service quality). Data (N = 250) for this study and were collected through questionnaires filled up by managers and employees of the educational administrations and Agriculture Bank of Iran. The method for collecting data was library, field study, and assessment of the questionnaire. The content validity of the research was approved, and structure and facial method and measurement permanency validity were assessed through method of Cronbach’s Alpha 5 by (5.9560). The assessment hypotheses of the research were analyzed by the formulas and analyzed via Kendall’s coefficient of concordance and the analysis of variance by Kruskall-Wallis. On reviewing the literature, it showed that there is a positive relationship between information system success with net benefits and communication effectiveness when intention to use and user satisfaction served as a mediator of this relationship. Also, the literature review showed that there is a positive relationship between intention to use and user satisfaction.
