Cross-linked polyvinyl alcohol (PVA) resin was prepared by crosslinking of epoxidized PVA-chains by using of 4-(4-Aminobenzyl)benzenamine as a linker. Epoxidation of PVA was done with epichlorohydrine (ECH) in one step. The PVA resin prepared by this method shows well hydrophilic properties and swells in various organic solvent that used in solid-phase organic synthesis (SPOS). Swelling properties of the resin was examined in dimethylformamide (DMF), tetrahydrofuran (THF), ethanol, methanol, dichloromethane (DCM) and dioxane. PVA resin was characterized by FT-IR and 1H NMR and its properties such as epoxy equivalent weight (EEW) of epoxidized PVA and density of the resin were investigated by analytical methods.
