The purpose of this research is to investigate the relationship between attachment type and the vitality and academic progress of students of Islamic Azad University of Urmia Branch. This research is applied research in terms of its purpose and nature, and in terms of strategy and implementation, it is a quantitative research of the descriptive-correlation matrix type. The statistical population of the research includes all students of Islamic Azad University of Urmia (15,730 people), the sample size was 370 people using Morgan's table. To select the study population and determine the sample, cluster random sampling was used according to gender and educational groups. Abzara researched standard questionnaires for the vitality variable from the questionnaire of Dehghanizadeh and Hossein Chari (2013) and for the variable of students' academic progress (average of two semesters of students) and for the variable of attachment and its dimensions (attachment to teacher, father, mother, peers, fearful, preoccupied, aloof and safe), Armsden and Greenberg (2017) attachment style questionnaire and Van Adenoun, Hofstra and Becker (2015) attachment style questionnaire were used. The content validity of the questionnaires was confirmed by expert professors and their reliability was confirmed with Cronbach's alpha value of 0.895. The obtained data and information were analyzed and interpreted with SPSS software. The results indicate that there is a positive and significant relationship between attachment and its dimensions and academic vitality with students' academic progress at a statistical level of 1.7%.
