چکیده :

Due to geography and location in arid and semi-arid region, problem of water especially fresh¬water is extremely sensitive. Water supplies are falling and salinity, and surface waters have been contaminated with various pollutants so with look at the problems of water supply in Iran, and the importance of domestic and industrial wastewater treatment , use of new technology seem necessary[1]. To prevent contamination of water and environment by wastewaters we must adopted strategies for purification and reuse of them [2]. In this regard, in order to improve the efficiency of water and wastewater purification, and water supply enhancement through proper use to prevent anomaly use of water resources, Nanotechnology has great potential to advance the treatment of water and wastewater, and has created a great revolution in this field. Applications of this technology in purification of a variety of industrial wastewater pointed as; nano-filter and nanofiltration-membranes, nano-tubes, nano-sheets, nanoparticles and removal heavy metals from industrial effluents and fat removal from wastewater from effluent by using nanotechnology[3]. This study has been investigated the context of application of new technology, nano in industrial wastewater treatment by examining the research activities around the world and show that by using this method can significantly reduce treatment costs and due to Nano capabilities for removal and control of environmental pollution and also the importance of achieving sustainable development we can considered this technology as a green, clean technology and also an effective tool for achieving sustainable development.
