چکیده :

One fundamental issue in field of individual and social harms is the persons’ aggression especially among young and sensitive youths in any society. Accordingly, the present paper aims to examine the relationship between spirituality and aggression among university students. The current research is a type of descriptive –correlational study. The population consists of all students studying educational sciences at Sistan and Baluchistan University with total size of 400 students. Using the Morgan Table and through simple random sampling method 196 participants were selected as the sample size. Two questionnaires of spirituality (13 items) 5 items were derived from Kendall and Forman Questionnaire (2010) and the Aggression Questionnaire (30 items) 4 items were inspired from Saatchi et al (2010) research were used as the research instruments. To assess the content validity and reliability, the Cronbach’s alpha was applied. Also, for the data analysis, the Pearson’s correlation coefficient test, Single group t-test, independent t-test and regression test (ENTER) were used. The obtained results of Pearson’s correlation coefficient test showed that spirituality meaningfully and negatively correlates with aggression among the university students (r = - 0.75). Moreover, the results of single group t-test indicated that the educational sciences students possess a high degree of spirituality. The results of independent t-test signified that no meaningful variance exists between spirituality and aggression in terms of students’ sex. The results of regression test indicated that spirituality could explain 56% of the educational sciences students’ aggression. Consequently, considering the students’ spirituality highly matters.
