Lemon balm, a member of Lamiaceae family, is an important medicinal plant that has many useful properties. Present research was conducted to study the effects of micronutrients (Zn, Fe, Mn and Cu) in 400ppm dose on morpho-physiological traits and essential oil of lemon balm. Results showed that foliar application of Zn, Fe, Mn and Cu significantly improved all traits in contrast to control except carotenoids. The highest mean for flavonoids, fresh and dry shoot matter, fresh and dry root matter, dry flower matter and number of flower per plant was observed in plants that were treated with foliar application of Zn+Fe+Mn+Cu. Also, with spraying of Fe+Mn+Zn+Cu on leaves of lemon balm, essential oil was improved 73.64% in contrast to control treatment. Micronutrients had similar effects on phenol and fresh flower matter. It seems that foliar application of micronutrients causes considerable effects on morpho-physiological and essential oil of lemon balm.
