چکیده :

The Ni–P/DNP nanocomposite coatings were sono-deposited on mild steel through a nickel electroless bath containing ultrasonically dispersed diamond nanoparticles (DNP). The surface morphology, composition and structural properties of coatings were studied by scanning electron microscopy, energy-dispersive X-ray spectroscopy, and X-ray diffraction, respectively. The effect of the various contents of DNP on corrosion behaviour of prepared coatings was evaluated in NaCl solution by different electrochemical methods. The results indicated that the incorporation of DNP significantly improves corrosion resistance of Ni–P coatings. Accordingly, good correlation exists between various experimental results that obtained from different techniques.
