چکیده :

More than 50% of oil Entrapped in the petroleum reservoirs after applying primary and secondary recovery methods. Thus, to produce more crude oils from these addressed reservoirs, different enhanced oil recovery (EOR) approaches should be performed. In this research the effect of hydrophilic nano particles of sio2 in size of 12 nm, in (EOR) throughout carbonate reservoir is systematically investigated. Implementing this nano particle, we can increase viscosity of injection fluid and then lower mobility ratio between oil and nano fluid in carbonate reservoirs. To gain this end, core flooding apparatus was used to figure out effectiveness and robustness of nanosilica for EOR from carbonate reservoirs. These conducted experiments are applied on the reservoir carbonate core samples saturated with brine and oil that had got injected with nano particles of sio2 with various concentrations. The output results depict that with increasing nano particle concentration, the viscosity of injection fluid increases and results in decrease of mobility ratio between oil and nano fluid. The results confirm that using the nano particle increases the recovery. Also, increasing the nano particle concentration up to 0.6 percent increase the ultimate recovery (%OOIP) but further increase to 1.0 does not have a significant effect.
