The one-pot conversion of primary and secondary alcohols into oximes
is reported using chromium trioxide supported on alumina and hydroxylamine
hydrochloride under solvent free condition. This oxidationoxime
formation reaction has been applied to a range of aliphatic and
benzylic alcohols.
