چکیده :

This paper presents a comparative study to investigate the momentum and mass transfer behaviour of an unsteady three-dimensional MHD couple stress and Casson nanofluid flows over a stretching sheet in the presence of first order chemical reaction. The governing partial differential equations are transformed into set of nonlinear coupled ordinary differential equations by using self suitable transformations, which are then solved numerically using Runge-Kutta based shooting technique. The obtained results depict the effects of various non-dimensional governing parameters on velocity and concentration profiles of the flow. Also, enumerated and discussed the wall friction in x and y directions along with the Sherwood number. We presented dual solutions for the flow and mass transfer of couple stress and Casson nanofluids. We found an excellent agreement of the present results with the existed studies under some special limited cases. Results indicate that with an increase in the stretching ratio parameter enhances the mass transfer rate and suppresses the friction factor. The mass transfer rate of couple stress nanofluid is comparatively high while compared with the mass transfer rate of Casson nanofluid.
