The role of cooperatives on rural women poverty

Poverty in a society comes when people have not a living welfare at least reasonable in accordance with society standards. Anti-poverty programs regard to rural women and their problems as members of rural community will not be growing successfully because villages are Center of poverty and women are active human capital in the village. Women's cooperative is One of the program can be done with rural poverty alleviation aimed. Some experts believe that women's cooperatives can participate in a variety of activities and are not limited to certain areas. Nowadays, rural women with significant presence in the cooperative can establish job (employment) and income for themselves and improve rural households’ economy and thus reduce poverty. Cooperatives expand poor women’s access to financial services, including credit savings and in some cases insurance and remittances. Therefore, this study helps rural women to know cooperatives. They can participate in social work through women cooperatives and decrease their families’ financial problems. This study collected with a library method and has been expression descriptive. In the end, practical recommendations were presented.
