ABSTRACT:In mystics' opinion, especiallyRumi, being full and also overeating cause inclemency and blindness of the inner eye and the pleasure of forbidding toward food is more than eating it. On the other hand preventing oneself from overeating and being satisfied with the least amount of food is so much better than getting polluted with the desire of food .If the faith cleans the soul from the menial purposes of the "self" and the soul find a way to the unseen world and spiritualobservations, all the world turns into the reflection of God and the soul can obtain its strength and needs through observing every place and everybody, apart from the world of decay and corruption. They believe that overeating can weaken the power of thought and dissipates the light of faith. While eating less and more than that tolerating hunger that is aroused from faith, brings a lot of blessings.Rumi as an anthropologist wise man says that human can enjoy the spiritual foods rather than terrestrial food that don't worth gaining and loosening. Because the more the human lowers the amount of bodily food, the more hisspiritual blessings will increase. He says there is a reversal relationship between the fatness of the body and spirit feeding. The hunger of the bodycauses the calmness of the soul.On the contrary by filling the belly with food we stop ourselves from going to heaven. Sothis paper tries to investigate the faith as one of the nourishments of the soul from the viewpoint of Rumi's thoughts and words.
