چکیده :

In order to consider effect of water stress and silicon amount on yield contributing and grain yield in rice local Tarom variety, an experiment was carried out in split plot based on random complete block design in 3 replications in year 2008 at Dashte Naz Sari, Mazandaran, Iran. Discontinue of irrigation arranged around 15 days in 4 periods (at beginning, middle and last of tillering time and 50 % of flowering time) as a main factor and silicon in 3 amount (0, 500 and 1000 kg/ha) as a sub-factor which was applied 15 days before transplanting. The results came out discontinue of irrigation at beginning of tillering time showed significantly decrease in panicle length, number of panicle per M2, number of spikelet per panicle and drastically reduce in grain yield. Discontinue of irrigation at middle of tillering time caused to decrease in 1000-seed weight. Maximum number of panicle per M2 and grain yield (405.78 g/M2) was found in discontinue of irrigation at 50 % of flowering time. Positive correlation had seen between grain yield and 1000-seed weight in 5% probability level. Harvest index and rice straw had positive correlation at 1% probability level. So treatment of discontinue of irrigation and silicon amount have shown maximum effect in 1000-seed weight compare to other parameters of yield contributing. Therefore beginning of tillering time is so sensitive to discontinue of irrigation because it caused to reduce of yield and yield contributing
