This experiment was carried out in split plot in randomized complete block design based on three replications at Chalous, North of Iran in 2009. In this experiment, planting dates (February 4, February 19, March 7 and March 22) were chosen as main factors and four cultivars (Hayola 401, Sarigol, RGS003, Zarfam) as sub-factors. The results showed that with delay in planting dates phenotype characters will have decreasing trend in duration of vegetative, duration of flowering and during the growth period. Maximum of grain yield was obtained on February 4 because it caused to increase pod length, pod number per plant and grain number per pod. Delay in planting dates decreased significantly quantitative, qualitative characteristics consequently grain yield. Maximum grain yield was related to varieties of Hayola 401 and Sarigol and minimum of that was for Zarfam cultivar. The lowest oil yield was observed for 22 March treatment and the highest was for February 4 and February 19 treatments. Maximum of oil yield was for varieties of Hayola 401 and Sarigol, minimum of that was for varieties of RGS003 and Zarfam. February 4 treatment had maximum grain yield so it was the suitable time for planting
