چکیده :

In the Persian poetry of the past, word and meaning played a parallel role. The latter was at core of the poem. Over time, a variety of theories have argued about how a work of art is shaped, each from their specific viewpoint: formal, psychological, sociological cause and effect, etc. However, a study of poetic components or parts and the way they are linked to form a whole leads to better analyses of a piece of poetry and thus to more accurate results. In the current research, a sample of Saeb tabrizi’s ghazals was taken to examine his poetics from four perspectives: musical, ideological, verbal and illustrative. Poetic elements like language, figures of thought, music and content, both separately and harmoniously together, conveyed a sense of fluent movement, flow and life and progress towards divine-oriented human perfection.
