Environmental uncertainty and the intensity of competitiveness are faced organizations and managers with numerous challenges. New management approaches and specific competencies are designed and recommendedfor effective management of these challenges.Risk identification and management is one of new approaches which are used to strengthen and improve the effectiveness of organizations.In general, risk is characterized by the possibility of losses incurring and the uncertainty which has various types and classifications.Risk management is the concept of risk assessment and then is implied the adopting strategies for risk management.In this paper, first the concept of risk is presented, the next step is to classify the various risks, provide definition of risk management, study the evolution of risk management, investigate risk management and the various processes in different structures, present the overall process of risk management and finally, the strengths and weaknesses of risk management methods will be examined.The present research has innovation; hence the importance of risk management in different structures and strengths and weaknesses of methods generally has not been studied by researcher.
