چکیده :

Significant potentials in Iran agricultural environments and climatic conditions have made saffron as an important industry in Iran exports which can play an outstanding role in Iran economic reach. Current paper focuses on main external factors to choose international target markets. Reviewing studies on choosing international target markets, research indices and components were extracted. This is a practical and descriptive research. Questionnaire was used and 68 Iran saffron exporters were selected as samples that had frequent exports during 5 recent years. Data analysis was done using descriptive statistics and Friedman and T tests which indicated Iran saffron exporters have used five component(politic, economic, cultural, infrastructural and potential ) and 28 indices as external factors to choose international target markets. But exporters` replies to open questions of the questionnaire indicates saffron exporters do not follow systematic rules and methods to choose international markets and only use their own experiences and colleagues` advices in international export field
