چکیده :

The present study was conducted to investigate the comparative effects of peer and teacher assessment on Iranian intermediate-level EFL learners’ lexical and grammatical writing accuracy. The participants of this study were 70 female Iranian students at Safir institute. The participants were randomly assigned to experimental and comparison groups. To accomplish the purpose of the study, initially, a PET test was administered to the participants. Both groups received writing assignments. The participants of the experimental group were given peer feedback whereas the participants of the comparison group received teacher feedback. At the end of the experimental period, both the experimental and comparison groups were tested using an in-class writing assignment used as the post-test. Data were analyzed using two independent samples t- tests. Results indicated that the experimental group outperformed the comparison group in terms of both grammatical and lexical writing accuracy.
