چکیده :

During the period 1980 to the present few researchers such as Dean (1993) and Komar and MC Dougal (1994) and some others have tried to provide the appropriate equations of seabed shape changes according to different parameters such as the diameter of the seabed grain, grains of density, wave break height and other parameters under equilibrium beach profile. These equations determine the important parameters for the design of coastal structures and ports have many mistakes, that this caused the higher risk of design. This research tries to preset the most accurate EBP1 equations for some important Iranian beaches located on southern coasts of Caspian Sea. This leads to future improves in design of port facilities and structures by minimizing the probable errors and risks due to more accurate EBPs. The results of this study show that the suggested equilibrium profile equation of Dean reasonably is in a good agreement with the behavior of the cross-shore profile of the Southern Caspian Sea. By applying the equations of equilibrium profiles and comparing those to the shores of the Southern Caspian Sea, can be seen that the Dean Equilibrium profile is more compatible with the profile of the Caspian Sea Coast.
