چکیده :

The immobilization of transition metals on polymer supports suggests a number of advantages over traditional solution-phase chemistry. Supported complexes can be recovered from reaction mixtures by simple filtration, they can be recycled, and they can help increase selectivity. As transition-metal complexes are often expensive to purchase or prepare, their immobilization on a support, thereby enabling easy extraction and recyclability, makes for commercial advantage as well as simplicity of manipulation. Here, we have introduced a new phosphinated poly (vinyl alcohol) (PVA-PPh2) with nanoparticle of Ni. For design of a new diphenylphosphinated ligand in polymer, we decided to prepare new phosphinated polymer from the reaction of a poly (vinyl alcohol) (PVA) that has a hydroxyl group with chlorodiphenylphosphine under basic condition. Thus, the reaction of PVA with PPh2Cl (1 equiv) and triethylamine (1.5 equiv) in CH3COCH3 furnished this new diphenylphosphinite PVA in 68% yield. This polymer is air and water stable and it is a solid in aqueous conditions. The amount of active phosphorus content of the polymer was determined by iodometric and gravimetric method and 4.3 mmol of phosphine group per gram of the polymer is measured.
