Based on statistics that were published by police force,
among total 9555 motorcycle accidents in the year 2007, 857
motorcycle riders were died and 11,219 motorcycle riders were
wounded. If died and wounded persons of other vehicles that their
main reason is violation of motorcycle will be added to this statistic,
surely there is serous need for having higher attention to discussion
of motorcycle. On this basis, at this article besides dealing with
characteristics and related problems of manufacture, usage and
training motorcycle, the real reasons of motorcycle accidents from 4
view points of Road, Human, Environment and Vehicle and based on
statistical and geographical analysis on sketch of accidents that are
prepare by police force are studied. Some of the main reasons for
motorcycle accidents include unaware from traffic rules, lack of using
from safety equipments, unsuitable plan of roads and crossroads for
passing motorcycles and lack of having suitable control by applicable
organizations.
