Dendrimer-encapsulated phosphotungstic acid nanoparticles immobilized on
nanosilica as a heterogeneous and reusable catalyst can provide environmentally friendly
alternatives for synthesis of quinoxaline derivatives via condensation of 1,2-diamines and
1,2-dicarbonyl compounds under solvent-free conditions. The products could be
separated simply from catalyst by filtration and the catalyst could be recycled and reused
for several times without noticeably decreasing in catalytic activity.
