A New Pulsed Power Generator Topology for Corona Discharge

Using effective and harmless methods to remove contaminants from the environment and water resources have been considered by many researchers. Today, among the modern methods, Corona discharge for creating free radicals and ozone, which is a strong and unstable pollution treatment, is the best method. The corona discharge created by applying narrow highvoltage pulses by pulsed power generators on two electrodes. In this paper, a new pulsed power generator topology based on combining voltage source and current source to produce highvoltage pulse has been reported. The proposed topology, which is supplied by a DC voltage source with low voltage, can be able to produce flexible pulses. In order to show the functionality of the system, Simulations have also been performed in Matlab/Simulink.
