چکیده :

The objective: The present study examines the impact of a six weeks period of Zumba fitness on girls' self-esteem and happiness. This is a quasi-experimental study and its statistical population includes 130 young girls aged 20±3. Methods: The research sample consisted of two groups of 59 subjects; the test group (doing Zumba) and the control group (not doing Zumba). The total number sampling was used. The tools used in this research were the Oxford Happiness Questionnaire including 29 questions and the Coopersmith self-esteem Questionnaire with 58 items. To analyze the results, the correlated-groups t-Test was employed.Results: the impact of Zumba fitness on girls' self-esteem and happiness was significant and the most changes in happiness feeling were belonging to life satisfaction, positive mood (optimism) and efficiency, respectively.Conclusion: According to the obtained results, it can be said that, to increase the girls and women self-esteem and happiness, Zumba fitness Keywords: Zumba, self-esteem, happiness, Urmia
